While I was planning my weekend, I got an email from a company called Kryolan, known worldwide for their professional make-up, inviting me to the launch of their new products. Kryolan Cosmetics, being a German company, intrigued my curiosity regarding the quality and the range of make-up products they have to offer, as, since my childhood, I have grown up knowing that German products are highly known for their quality and reliability. It was time for me to find out whether this thought could be extended to Kryolan’s products as well.

For my visit to the store, I paired my striped cropped top with my marble printed pencil skirt, taking forward the print on print trend. I believe that stripes get bored only being paired with basics and even they deserve some excitement in their lives. They are, after all, one of the most widely accepted prints across gender. I chose a lighter palette of clothing, ideal for day time and finished my look with grey tie-up wedges. I added some lip colour and eye liner and was ready to get to know Kryolan better!

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Team Kryolan and one of the things that really struck a chord with me was how eager the team was to tell me whatever I wanted to know and clear all of my confusions regarding their products. The other thing that impressed me a lot was the size of their store. It is huge and is a make-up enthusiast’s paradise, with stacks of different kinds of make-up in hundreds of shades presented in a very accessible and an inviting fashion.

Before the actual launch of their new products began, I got to know that Kryolan prides itself in being the only independent manufacturer of specialised professional make-up in the world, something that is praise worthy! Their new products were launched by the internationally acclaimed make-up artist from London, Tara Moghaddam. She showcased the launch of their new Eyebrow Powder, Metallique – an intense metallic pigment, Shimmering Version and the Variety Eye Shadow Compact. The USP of their products, apart from them being HD and silicon based, is their versatility. For example, a lip stain can also be used on the cheeks or the eyes.

The showcase was done through applying their new products on models and showing how they can be used to achieve certain looks. It was pretty informative, however, one thing that I would point out is that the looks showcased were not everyday looks. They were more for television or for fashion shows as they were quite dramatic. So, if it is good enough for the television, a milder version used appropriately would definitely work wonders for regular use.

A product that really stood out for me was their Smokey Eye Palette, which only had three colours, one of them being intense black and the others being neutral shades. Why I liked it is because it is a smaller palette, ideal for people like me, who don’t prefer too many shades.

So did it satisfy my curiosity of Kryolan maintaining the high standards of German reputation??? Well, I would definitely go there again and try out more of their products, apart form the ones showcased, because I liked what I saw and used. I would encourage you to go and have a look and decide for yourself. They are located at A-7, Lajpat Nagar II, New Delhi – 110024. Enjoy!
